4th Sunday of Lent-"See" Horz4c

But the LORD said to Samuel: “Do not judge from his appearance or from his lofty stature, because I have rejected him. Not as man sees does God see, because man sees the appearance but the LORD looks into the heart.” (1 Sm. 16:7)

Psalm:
The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. (Ps. 23)

Second Reading:
Brothers and sisters: You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light. (Eph. 5:8)

Gospel:
When Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, he found him and said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” He answered and said, “Who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?” Jesus said to him, “You have seen him and the one speaking with you is he.” He said, “I do believe, Lord,” and he worshiped him. (Jn 9:35-38)

Live the Liturgy—Inspiration for the Week:
Today is Laetare Sunday, or Rejoicing Sunday, a time of rejoicing at the midpoint of our Lenten observances. In the midst of our season of penance, today provides an opportunity to express our joy as we journey along to Easter.

Parish Soft:
This is a computer program that synchronizes parish census information and eliminates duplicate data entries. The churches (including our parish) have been using the program for many years and have found it most helpful. In February the parish census information of the three churches were merged into one. To understand how the merger has affected this synchronization, a training session has been scheduled for this Wednesday, March 29, at 10:00 a.m. at the Parish Center in St. Francis Solanus Church, Interlaken. Dan Pohorance from the diocese will be the facilitator. The more people who know about the Parish Soft program and the many benefits it offers will be a blessing to the parish. Parishioners who have used the Parish Soft program in the past are most encouraged to attend the training. If interested in attending the training, please phone the parish office.
